The Belgian / Dutch electric guitar quartet ZWERM (Johannes Westendorp, Bruno Nelissen, Matthias Koole, Toon Callier) present: TIMESTRETCH featuring music by Larry Polansky, Hans Roels, Guy De Bièvre, James Tenney, and Philip Glass. ZWERM was founded in 2007. The starting point of the four musicians of ZWERM is a shared interest for new music: composed, improvised, experimental and performative.

One single Tooaytood by Larry Polansky takes just 2 seconds. Containing more notes however then Philip Glass` Music In Similar Motion, taking more then 400 times as long. Timestretch is dedicated to composers who focus on the experience and perception of time by means of sound. Compressing and decompressing of experienced time; synchronization of different tempi. And while everybody is busy playing all this music a little train moves very slowly from left to right....
