A series of new works investigate intersections of tape and live performance, and composition with improvisation. A “portrait” combines real-time performance and pre-arranged recordings as a subjective homage. Another piece is built from acoustic recordings of Columbia's electronically-defunct RCA Mark II Synthesizer.

C. Spencer Yeh performs a solo electronic set, recorded live as part of the PAN_ACT festival in June 2013. The set starts off with a minimal percussion sound, evolving into a complex glitch beat and textural washes of electronics.
Since 1981 BOMB Magazine has publishing conversations between artists, giving a crucial voice to creative and critical practices of all genres.
