David Behrman: Runthrough
David Behrman’s Runthrough is performed by Behrman, crys cole and Cleek Schrey (who recently performed alongside Behrman in April of this year). Behrman describes Runthrough as a piece that requires no special performance skills other than the ability to turn knobs and aim flashlights, making this early work of interactive live electronic music as playable by non-musicians as musicians.

Ora Clementi play with subtleties of sensory perception, invoking a dreamlike context that hovers between musical performance and pure abstraction. Vito Ricci combines his recordings with live sound, performing on computer, modular, and “wrench guitar” with special guests Lise Vachon and Steve Dalachinsky.

Tectonics Festival New York
The inaugural US iteration of Iceland’s acclaimed Tectonics festival comes to NYC in four events at ISSUE, presenting a rich program of new composition, improvisation and unique cross-genre collaborations exploring iconic voices in experimental composition.
Alvin Lucier’s "Criss Cross" opens Tectonics, performed by two pillars of experimental rock: Stephen O’Malley and Oren Ambarchi. The guitarists and ensemble play Iancu Dumitrescu and premiere a piece by Eyvind Kang. Crys Cole and Jessika Kenney play solo sets, Kenney and Kang play Giacinto Scelsi.
