David Watson & Tony Buck

ISSUE presents guitarist, bagpiper, and organizer David Watson in collaboration with percussionist, improviser, and producer Tony Buck, best known as a member of The Necks and for his far-reaching improvisational collaborations.

David Watson performs on the Great Highland Bagpipe and Scottish smallpipes in collaboration with renowned percussionist Tony Buck. Multidisciplinary artist Laura Ortman also presents new work for violin, incorporating over-rosining and heavy use of amplification in her scored and improvised works.

Yoshi Wada & Tashi Wada

Composer and Fluxus artist Yoshi Wada performs accompanied by his son, composer Tashi Wada, recorded live at ISSUE Project Room on September 13, 2014. They are joined by two New York performers, David Watson on bagpipe and Jim Pugliese on bass drum.

In this evening of live electronics and instrumentalists, Al Margolis premieres a new quartet of bassoonist Leslie Ross, trombonist Monique Buzzarté, live video by Katherine Liberovskaya, and Margolis on laptop. Phill Niblock presents his now-classic "seth-work", a duo for laptop and guitar featuring David Watson.
