Two Evenings with Keiji Haino

Keiji Haino, legend of the Japanese underground, returns to Brooklyn for two performances September 26th and 27th, following up his sold out series at ISSUE in 2013. He takes the stage in a special duo with Tony Conrad as well as performing solo. Cellist Okkyung Lee and rock outfits xNOBBQx and X Wave perform as well.
Keiji Haino, prolific icon of Japanese experimentalism, returns to ISSUE with a solo percussion set. He is joined by experimental rock outfits xNOBBQx and X Wave, two high-energy groups out of Brisbane, the heart of Australia's underground.

Legend of the Japanese underground Keiji Haino returns to Brooklyn, taking the stage in a special duo with Tony Conrad. SOLD OUT! A rare performance by this original, unrecorded Fushitsusha lineup from the 1970s with founding member, New York-based saxophonist Tamio Shiraishi. Known for its torrential walls of sound, Fushitsusha was formed by Haino in '78— initially with Haino on guitar and vocals, and Shiraishi on synthesizer.
