Elliott Sharp’s Velocity of Hue CD Release Party

In his continuing exploration of the limits of instruments, composition and improvisation, Issue Project Room celebrates Elliott Sharp's recent release of "The Velocity of Hue", his latest collection of pieces performed on acoustic guitar as well as acoustic guitar processed with laptop computer. This music, while based upon Sharp's personal sonic vocabulary of textures, densities, and groove, also filters it through the string traditions of the music of central Asia, India and North Africa, country blues, and the "American Primitive" strain of John Fahey and Robbie Basho.
