Harvestworks Digital Media Arts Center and ISSUE present the performance of Qiujiang Levi Lu’s (2025 ISSUE AIR and TIP fellow) Tapescape. The live performance on Governors Island marks the opening of Lu’s Tapescape installation, which is free to the public and runs from May 16, 2026 through August 23, 2026.
Audience As Virus is an installation-performance by Eva Davidova (2020 AIR and TIP fellow) that involves the audience in the possibility to break AI predictions of human movement. Featuring Selwa Abd (2022 AIR and TIP fellow), Vinson Fraley, Danielle McPhatter, Dafna Naphtali, and Wobbly.

Saturday, April 25th, at 8pm, ISSUE Project Room celebrates its relationship with Harvestworks Digital Media Arts Center and honors longtime Executive Director Carol Parkinson.
ISSUE presents The Days Pass Quickly Immersed in the Shadow of Eternity, a new composition for sampled and live early flutes in 8-channel sound by Lea Bertucci (2015 AIR), written for master flutist, Norbert Rodenkirchen. Chris McIntyre (2006 AIR) opens the evening.
Tatyana Tenenbaum (2022 AIR) creates a shifting tapestry of live vocal textures that unfurl, loop, emerge and disappear within the folds of ISSUE Project Room’s walls.
Taraka (member of Prince Rama, 2011 AIR) returns to share “campfire songs” as a potential antidote to post-digital isolation. Joanna Mattrey (2021 AIR) opens the evening with an improvised solo set highlighting her signature approach to prepared viola.

ISSUE Members are invited to "Check in" this March. Ying Liu is a Brooklyn-based hodgepodge-ist whose work hybridizes theater, dance, video, and performance art with DIY props and an exuberant sense of play by employing consumer technology such as VR, GoPro and GPS.

Suzanne Fiol Curatorial Fellowship 2026
2026 Suzanne Fiol Curatorial Fellow Isabella Thorpe-Woods will present her first program, Dear, at ISSUE’s 22 Boerum Pl. theater. Over the course of her fellowship, the artist will share a series of events that explore letters as a curatorial prompt, and the ways they both fail and succeed in transmitting meaning or reaching their desired destination.
