Ongoing Series

A 2-night spotlight on Graham Lambkin's Kye label features Call Back the Giants, Malcolm Goldstein, Matt Krefting, Vanessa Rossetto, James Rushford and Lambkin— who also presents a tape work by Henning Christiansen. Performances weave together concepts from the sonic and visual arts, as well as sounds of the everyday.

Two Evenings with Keiji Haino

Keiji Haino, legend of the Japanese underground, returns to Brooklyn for two performances September 26th and 27th, following up his sold out series at ISSUE in 2013. He takes the stage in a special duo with Tony Conrad as well as performing solo. Cellist Okkyung Lee and rock outfits xNOBBQx and X Wave perform as well.

Minor Musics Japan Tour 2014

Minor Musics Japan comes to four American cities in September featuring venerated artists of Japan’s musical underground: Ché-SHIZU, Maher Shalal Hash Baz and à qui avec Gabriel. Organized by ISSUE Project Room in collaboration with Wild Beast at CALARTS, Marfa Live Arts, and the Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit.

Announcing Distributed Objects

ISSUE is pleased to announce the launch of Distributed Objects, a new publishing imprint featuring recorded and written documents focused on emerging artistic practices. The February 17, 2015, release of double LPs by former Artists-in-Residence Sabisha Friedberg and Sergei Tcherepnin inaugurates the imprint.

Paddle8 Art Auction in Support of ISSUE Project Room

ISSUE, in partnership with Paddle8, presents an online benefit art auction, with bidding to open Tuesday, March 25th. More than thirty artworks have been generously donated, with all proceeds directly supporting ISSUE Project Room's presentation of over 500 artists and performers in 2014.
