ISSUE Project Room and Darmstadt "Essential Repertoire" present Either/Or Ensemble: Early Minimalism.

In tribute and commemoration of the artistic contributions of Romanian composer, pianist, and conductor Ana-Maria Avram (1961-2017), ISSUE presents a “tombeau” program of Avram’s works performed by Either/OR, featuring Mario Diaz de Leon, Vasko Dukovski, Russell Greenberg, Margaret Lancaster, and Zach Rowden.

A special presentation of Feldman's rarely heard 4 1/2 hour epic, "For Philip Guston", culminates Either/Or's tenth-anniversary festival. This will be a rare performance of a masterwork of 20th century experimentalism, balancing the timbral beauty of this unique ensemble with Feldman's inimitable sense of scale.

Either/Or performs the world premiere of Public Works by composer, poet and compositional linguist Chris Mann, on a program with new work by Andrew Byrne and Thomas Meadowcroft. Object Collection presents New York Girls, an exercise in extremes, and a fanfare for the dispersed.

Either/Or, a contemporary music ensemble who focus on new and recent works for unconventional ensemble formations, perform composed works by ensemble founder Richard Carrick, Hans Thomalla, and Keeril Makan.
