Decoupage is a chamber quartet led by trombonist and composer Curtis Hasselbring. The group has been performing ever since September of 2004, when Curtis taped some pictures of Brittany Spears and some monkey-shaped cocktail stirrers to music staff paper for the band to play at CBGBs Gallery. Since then, Curtis has composed a repertoire for the group that is minimal, obliquely beat-oriented and caters to the unique identities of these great musicians.
Decoupage is Curtis Hasselbring (trombone), Mat Maneri (viola), Mary Halvorson (guitar) and Satoshi Takieshi (percussion).
