Expedition to Gowanus, is an evening of solos and combinations from New Yorkers E Sharp & Z Parkins and guests Steve Piccolo and Gak Sato.
Piccolo was one of the founders of the Lounge Lizards together with saxophonist John Lurie and has been residing in Milan, Italy since the early 80s making art installations, composing such songs as “Self Control“ for Laura Branigan, and performing in various formations. Gak Sato is a producer, thereminist, pianist and well-known remix artist. Together with Piccolo they perform under many incarnations.
Composer and multi-instrumentalist E Sharp leads the groups Orchestra Carbon, Terraplane and Tectonics and has collaborated with the Radio-Symphony of Frankfurt, the Master Musicians of Jahjoukah, Natacha Atlas, and here Ubu.
