Mac Wellman (born 1945) is an American playwright, author, and poet. Wellman is best known for his experimental work in the theater which rebels against theatrical conventions, often abandoning such traditional elements as plot and character altogether. His plays frequently resemble a moving collage of events which has more in common with an avant-garde dance production than Broadway-style theater.
Jason Napoli Brooks' fiction has appeared in various publications, including Ninth Letter and El Pais. He is the author of the internationally-distributed serial Cock of the Walk. He lives in New York City, where he has curated The Enclave Reading Series since 2006.
Established in 2006, ISSUE's Littoral program is a free public reading series spotlighting writers experimenting with new forms and approaches to poetry, fiction, and essays. Responding to a declining network of support for innovative experimental literature outside academic institutions, Littoral serves as a central hub for fostering cutting-edge writers, publishers, and literary journals.
