Choreographer Kim Brandt premieres a new ensemble work commissioned as part of ISSUE Project Room’s 2015 Artist-In-Residence program. Working with a large group of performers, Brandt presents a series of systems for a “body of bodies” to move within, exploring a process in which the group metamorphoses through the sum of its parts.

Performed by Anna Adams Stark, Rebecca Cardwell, Liz Charky, Meg Clixby, Jessica Cook, Courtney Cooke, Katie Dean, Greer Dworman, Tess Dworman, Kyli Kleven, Nora Stephens and Tara Willis.

Kim Brandt has presented her work in New York at The Kitchen, Movement Research, Aunts at The New Museum and Abrons Arts Center, Danspace Project, P.S. 122, Roulette, Brooklyn Arts Exchange, Elizabeth Dee, Josee Bienvenue, AVA, Industry City, Airplane, Pierogi, Five Myles and The Laundromat. Brandt received a BA from Hampshire College and a MFA from Tyler School of Art. She was a 2012 Space Grant recipient at Brooklyn Arts Exchange, is a 2015-16 recipient of The Award NYC, and is a 2015 Artist-In-Residence at ISSUE Project Room.

Established in 2006, ISSUE Project Room's annual Artist-in-Residence program provides 5 emerging artists each with a year-long residency including rehearsal space, production, curatorial, and pr/marketing support to create new works, reach the next stage in their artistic development, and gain exposure to a broad public audience.

ISSUE Project Room’s Artist-in-Residence program is made possible, in part, with support from the National Endowment for the Arts, with public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council, and with the support of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Legislature; and through the support of The James E. Robison Foundation, the Center for Performance Research and Chez Bushwick.
