Native-Detroiter Terrence Dixon‘s longtime alliance with Godfather of Techno Juan Atkins has helped forge his own powerful sound in the world of minimal Techno. Dixon produced the two notable appearances as Population 1 on Metroplex and as Terrence Dixon on the majority of the Utensil label releases. Since his first "Live in Detroit" release in 1994 on Utensil, Dixon‘s presence has become well-established in the global Underground for having produced some of the deepest atmosphere in the genre. Significant outings in 1999 with Southern Germany‘s Background Records denote Dixon‘s broadening international horizons fanbase-wise, most recently including his production involvement in Juan Atkins‘ "Skynet" album from 1998 (Tresor 105).

Hip-hop abounds with eccentric personalities, but New York's Sensational trumps even the most colorful MCs. The MC linked up with the world-famous Jungle Brothers when he was only 15, starting off as a back-up dancer. He went on as Torture to rhyme to records by the German composer Stockhausen, and recorded legendary performances on the Jungle Brothers' album JBeez Wit Da Remedy rhyming at 180 BPM. Unlike most rap producers, he has never been one to sample, and plays all his sounds live. Sensational's unique style and personality have been showcased in the semi-biographical cult-classic film Crooked (2001), which documents the underground hip-hop scene in Brooklyn in the '90s.

Koyxen is as abstract techno project of Kouhei Matsunaga, an Osaka-based musician, hip hop producer, and illustrator. Since 1992, Kouhei has released numerous albums under a variety of aliases (NHK, NHKyx, Internet Magic, NHK’Koyxen) on labels such as Skam, Wordsound, Raster Noton, and Mille Plateaux. In addition, he has collaborated with a diverse range of artists including Merzbow, Jungle Brothers’ Sensational, Autechre’s Sean Booth, Mika Vainio, Conrad Schnitzler, Anti Pop Consorium’s High Priest, Rudolf Eb.er, Puppetmastaz crew, Asmus Tietchens, Ralf ‘RLW’ Wehowsky and more. His own label Flying Swimming was founded in 2002 to publish and curate events of experimental contemporary music and art.

Swaying from the lean and muscular edges of techno to a fractured palette of electronica and rough electro, Call Super's productions share a tendency towards the live and informal. In February 2013 his EP "The Present Tense" launched fabric's newly founded in-house label, Houndstooth. A highly regarded deejay by those who have had the chance to catch him play, he has been the guest on Hessle Audio's Rinse FM show, contributed to FACT magazine's podcast series and performed on the Boiler Room.

DJ Richard is a Producer and DJ based Berlin, Germany. Born in the United states, he spent time in Rhode Island, California, and New York City before relocating across the Atlantic in 2012. Alongside Young Male, he is a founding member and co label head of White Material, a NYC-based record label focusing on techno. His debut 12", entitled "Leech2," was released on White Material in December of 2012.

PAN_ACT is presented by ISSUE Project Room and the Goethe-Institut New York in conjunction with PAN records, and made possible by the Goethe-Institut New York, with additional support from the Goethe-Institut Boston and with public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council.
