Inspired by the resonant sound of arched spaces and bridges, UNDERPASS combines field recordings and video, found footage, theremin, feedback guitar and live computer processing into a concerto of sound and vision in three movements. Encompassing Tovsky's broad interests in phonography, analog sound generation, extended guitar technique and cutting-edge digital processing, UNDERPASS is the culmination of several years of work collecting and evolving a set of imagery and sounds that Tovsky and his collaborators will use as a platform for improvisation.
