Active since 1998 the Unitygain platform for live AV electro-media performance was among the first of the NYC 'immersive' events coming out of the 'Illbient' period to concentrate on a balanced architectural integration of live (and only live) electronic music and real time video performance.
Originally the unrequited love child of 80's thru 90's musical adventurer David Linton - who organized the sound system participants - and 70's avant 'analog' video accolade / proto VJ enfant terrible Benton-C Bainbridge - who did something analogous for the video - UG eventually morphed into a late nite Manhattan Cable TV show: UGTV (MNN channel 34 1 AM Sundays) and then almost out of existence entirely...... But it's not over.... Doors open at 9:00 PM -- for a seamless 4 hour event where audio artists rotate 15 min sets with continuous multi channel video 'over' mixing.
