Dawn Kasper

Commissioned as part of ISSUE Project Room’s 2015 Artist-In-Residence Program, Dawn Kasper’s Music For Matter: ENERGY INTO MATTER premieres at Artists Space Books & Talks on February 16th, 2015. Comprised of improvisationally layered archival field recordings, drums, bells, and prerecorded analog sound, Kasper’s new composition is loosely inspired by “The Music of The Spheres," illustrating the movement of the Sun, Moon, and planets as music.

Dawn Kasper is a New York based performance artist. Her work has been exhibited widely; The Migros Museum, Zurich, Tramway, Glasgow, Human Resources, Los Angeles, 2012 Whitney Biennial and David Lewis, New York.
