ISSUE is thrilled to commemorate the close of the 2021 season with a special year-end event featuring legendary New York band Gang Gang Dance, and writer/artist Adjua Gargi Nzinga Greaves. The performances will take place at the First Unitarian Congregational Society in Brooklyn Heights.

ISSUE's 2022 season opens with an expansive program featuring legendary artists Kim Gordon & Loren Connors, Connors performing with Italian guitarist Alessandra Novaga & a set from underground artist Dreamcrusher.

Saturday, January 29th, ISSUE is pleased to present the premiere East Coast performances of French composer Pascale Criton’s Sounding Limits series of compositions, two of which were co-authored in close collaboration with renowned string players Silvia Tarozzi (violin) and Deborah Walker (cello).

ISSUE & Harvestworks are pleased to stream a new collaboration between interdisciplinary artists Devin Kenny and E. Jane. Both Kenny & Jane approach work across disciplines including the production of digital images, video, text, performance, installation, and sound design.

ISSUE is pleased to host an intimate conversation with pioneering experimental composer Morton Subotnick. Members can RSVP for this event using their Member Code. Subotnick’s influence on electronic music cannot be overstated. The composer was a key innovator in experimental works involving synthesis & more.

For two nights, ISSUE & Anthology Film Archives will screen these works—which originally premiered online and were experienced in disparate home screen & sound system arrangements. ISSUE is taking the opportunity to present the works back-to-back in a cinematic environment.

2022 Suzanne Fiol Curatorial Fellow Theodore Kerr presents BEYOND THE FLAT, his first program in THE BODY POPULAR series. The program features an outdoor performance by multi-disciplinary artist Zachary Fabri, based on a commissioned portrait of him by photographer Samantha Box.
