As part of its artist-in-residency at ISSUE Project Room, KIOKU will be hosting and collaborating with Daniel Levin and saxophonist Rob Brown.

ISSUE Artist-In-Residence, Matana Roberts, will premiere the last of three new COIN COIN pieces which focus on spatial and environmental interplay while excavating themes relating to her familial heritage and own personal history.

A performance of improvised music conducted with the use of graphic scores. The scores are maps containing cells with written word directions/suggestions taken from my glossary of terms that I use to describe subtle, and not-so-subtle approaches to sound, rhythm, dynamics, form, groupings and thematic material.
