ISSUE is pleased to stream a cassette recording from Lary 7, the first project in the Isolated Field Recording Series. Lary has given ISSUE a cassette tape containing a room recording of his “droney tone” piece, an unrepeatable sound and light “rewind” piece.

Composer & multi-instrumentalist John Krausbauer performs in collaboration with Tokyo-born composer Kaori Suzuki. Lary 7 performs a live version of his “droney tone” film piece, an unrepeatable sound & light “rewind” piece which borrows from the arcane technological worlds of film, light & sound mechanisms.

Friday, April 7th, ISSUE gathers artists who all have shared with Tony Conrad a friendship and a deep devotion to music and art. In honor of Tony, Spectral Density is an evening of music with original works by Henry Flynt, Dan Conrad, and a Arnold Dreyblatt, as well as a performance of one of Tony's pieces by Lary 7.

ISSUE premieres Owl Movie, a cinema work by multimedia composer Lary 7 exploring arcane film equipment. Running for two nights only, the piece is his first-ever fixed media film following decades of ephemeral multimedia performances. The evening opens with a cinema performance by Rose Kallal.
