Monarch Butterfly by rocío sánchez (2026 AIR) features Melissa Almaguer (tap dance and percussion) and Kenneth Jiménez (double bass). Together, the trio explores the elusive monarch’s migratory journey through sound and movement, with each instrument articulating distinct states of motion.
Isabella Thorpe-Woods presents "Envelop/e," her second program as ISSUE’s 2026 Suzanne Fiol Curatorial Fellow. In celebration of Laurie Spiegel's 65th Birthday, ISSUE Project Room is pleased to host a reception and piano concert of her work. The evening begins with a 45-minute informal gallery show and concludes with a rare performance of some of Spiegel's very personal solo piano pieces performed by Joseph Kubera.

Z'EV is a conceptual artist, sound sculptor, and poet. After studying at CalArts with Concrete poet Emmett Williams he produced visual and sound poetries, and was included in the "Second Generation" show at the Museum of Conceptual Art in San Francisco in 1975.
