ISSUE in the year ahead

2013 at ISSUE: new spaces, new leadership, new projects. We are pleased to announce that longtime board member Tony Conrad and Lawrence Kumpf will assume new leadership roles. Beginning in Feb., ISSUE partners with 155 Freeman in Greenpoint. The Capital Campaign now completed, WORKac has begun designing our renovation.

Clarinetist Carol Robinson and cellist Frances-Marie Uitti have worked in parallel for years, originating from their work with Giacinto Scelsi. Together they are spectacular colorists; two bows, birbyne, string resonators, basset horn, in improvisations and compositions using naked sound and electronics.

Rowe performs solo and premieres collaborations with former Shadow Ring member Graham Lambkin, longtime collaborator and renowned composer, guitarist, and pianist Christian Wolff, and Wandelweiser member Michael Pisaro.

A landmark year for ISSUE

2012 has been a landmark year for ISSUE Project Room, but we currently face a serious challenge— damage to the ceiling of our theater has forced us to relocate all of our programming to alternate venues for the foreseeable future. As we prepare to continue programming outside of our home in 2013, we ask for your help.
