Join us for a special evening with Daniel Pinchbeck, as he discusses the life and work of Rudolf Steiner.
In the second in a series, Pinchbeck will talk about the work of the Austrian visionary and occult philosopher Rudolf Steiner (1860-1925) founder of the Anthroposophical Movement, Waldorf Schools, and Biodynamic agriculture. Although neglected by the mainstream, Steiner reconceiled rational and intuitive thought in an amazingly optimistic cosmology. His "spiritual science" integrates Eastern mysticism and the evolutionary perspective of modern empiricism. Steiner said that the mission of his life on earth was to bring the knowledge of reincarnation back to the West, and he offered prophetic information about the future that supports the foretellings of the Hopi Indians and the shift in consciousness indicated by the Mayan Calendar.
Open discussion for questions and answers will follow.
Pinchbeck is the author of Breaking Open the Head: A Psychedelic Journey into the Heart of Contemporary Shamanism (www.breakingopenthehead.com). He is currently completing a second book, 2012: The Return of Quetzalcoatl, on indigenous prophecies and The Apocalypse, theorizing and imminent transformation of human consciousness.
