ISSUE Members are invited to "Check in" this March. Ying Liu is a Brooklyn-based hodgepodge-ist whose work hybridizes theater, dance, video, and performance art with DIY props and an exuberant sense of play by employing consumer technology such as VR, GoPro and GPS.

John McCowen: SOLO CONTRA

John McCowen presents compositions for solo contrabass clarinet for his inaugural performance as an Artist-In-Residence. These works present the concept of the instrument as an acoustic synthesizer. By sustaining multiple sounds simultaneously, the clarinet becomes a harmonic tube where sounds create beating harmonics.

Both artists chart critical new contexts at the intersection of fragmented narrative, sound design, pop music and experimental composition.

At ISSUE, von Oswald presents Akklamation, a piece that sets out to unify the expansive musical paths of the electronics visionary.

Sold Out! Jandek

ISSUE is pleased to welcome back the enigmatic Jandek, the musical project of Corwood Industries, to Brooklyn. Jandek has performed in ISSUE’s previous locations in the Gowanus Silo and the courtyard of the Old American Can Factory. This marks Jandek's first performance at ISSUE’s 22 Boerum Theater.

Lindsay Packer: Call and Response: ECHOLOCATION with Fan Letters
